PACKING!
Getting prepared for this adventure is going to be an adventure all on it's own.
A few helpful tips!!
ALL items must fit in a 21x14x9 carry on suitcase so...
> pack light we can wash clothes
> only pack what is needed and in small quantities
   [travel size shampoo...]
> Sierra Trading Post has good discounted travel equipment, clothing and SHOES!
> a good pair of shoes will be important for hiking and walking around.
*remember it will be hot your feet will get wet so something like keens or teva sandal would be best.
> helpful to pack items in an organized way
   [ziplock baggies, packing cubes]
> may want a few extra baggies [Albertsons/Target bags] for putting dirty shoes,
dirty clothes back into your suitcase
NOTE: If you have to stuff everything in rethink it! We will be traveling from place to place packing and repacking as well as adding souvenirs so leave a little extra room!

Basic Thai Words:

Hello: Sa-wa-dee [kap/ka]
How are you?: Sa-bai-dee-mai [krap/ka]
I am fine thanks: Sa-bai-dee
My name is: [pom/chan] cheu
What is your name?: kun cheu a-rai [krap/ka]
Bye: Sa-wa-dee [kap/ka]

First group:
While in Thailand we will be visiting a school and delivering supplies.

If you can donate used or new items here is the list:
Balls [soccer, volleyball, basketball, tennis balls]
swim suits [children's sizes]
clothing [children's, teens]
Laundry detergent
combs
dental floss
toothpaste
toothbrushes
soap
shampoo
lice shampoo
cough medicine [children's, adult]
vitamins [children's, adult]

Second group:
Unfortunately we will not be able to bring donations in the form of supplies
because we will be flying in a small plane to Cambodia and extra baggage is expensive.
But we will be purchasing supplies for them while there
so cash donations would be greatly appreciated!

We will be purchasing:
food
paint [and painting the orphanage]
clothing
vitamin
school supplies
shoes
towels
toys

For those going on either trip:
There will be a meeting at the Johnson's Sunday the 26th at 7pm

Thank you: Khop Kun [kap/ka]
